For over 30 years Briarwood has been a “slice of wilderness” in central Ohio, embracing a relaxed and casual atmosphere of soothing freshwater amid breathtaking vistas. With a majestic landmass covered with numerous lakes and trout streams, Briarwood is considered to be the largest private fishing resort east of the Mississippi. Our large artesian springs form the headwaters for one of Ohio’s best trout fishing waterways, the Mad River, and we offer some of the finest fishing in the country for Brook, Brown, Golden, and Rainbow trout. With 125 acres of lakes, our waters are the deepest in Ohio, abounding with Small and Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Walleye, Perch and Tiger Musky.
Briarwood has opened up our preserve to trophy whitetail deer hunting! On our guided whitetail hunts, one can expect to see several whitetails in excess of 200" and will have the opportunity to harvest the "buck of a lifetime."
