Our family has been a member of Briarwood Sporting Club since 1995. It has always been a great family retreat. Under the Daniels’ leadership, it has become a world class fishing and hunting venue. It has so much to offer to the entire family which includes adult children, college age grandchildren, high school grandchildren and grade school grandchildren. Recently, I asked my 8 year old granddaughter if she had to pick one place to vacation, what would her choice be among Briarwood Sporting Club, Jackson Hole, WY and the beach at Siesta Key, FL. My wife and I have been a member at Briarwood Sporting for seven or eight years now. Although we live 150 miles away, we come often. Whether it’s for a work function or a special event with family, everyone involved wants to come back. 80% of the guests we’ve brought with us couldn’t fly fish. After their visit at Briarwood they were hooked on the sport and couldn’t wait for a return invite. My wife and I have had our 35^th and 40^th wedding anniversaries at the club along with an entire family Christmas. A group of good friends and us come together for a long weekend every year for great fishing and good fun. It’s been such a worthwhile investment for us. I also can’t say enough good things about the people that work there. We’re always greeted with a smile, a friendly hello and the service is great. The changes and updates that Chris and Christy have made to the complex have been first class and are very noticeable. They Loafing Lodge for local guests to relax is the best example of this. Every time we bring back guests they want to see the changes that have been made. I brought a guest here once and he walked around he said to me “this is Disney World for guys”. Great Club. Happy to belong.

I have been a member for many years and have enjoyed the Club individually and with my family. Being an outdoors family l was anxious to introduce them to all the possibilities that Briarwood has to offer. Our grandkids graduated from collecting and releasing baby frogs, picking berries and wildflowers, hiking and looking for deer and turkey to fishing in the streams and lakes. We all look forward to our mini vacation weekends in the updated lodges. Over the years we have all become better fisherman and taken our skills from Briarwood to Idaho, Montana and Florida. We love the boat fishing on Briarwood Lake, fishing and picnics at the new day lodge and the challenge of trout fishing. I can’t put into words what Briarwood has meant to me and my family. My use of the club has increased significantly since Chris and Christie have taken over. They had a vision for Briarwood and it keeps getting better and better.

We joined over 10 years ago. Over that time, it has become a tranquil sanctuary away from the city but with all of the amenities that make it comfortable and accepting for everyone, from serious outdoors people to indoor people to active youngsters. To see the way the club has improved since the Daniels family took ownership is both incredible and exciting. It seems every season there is something new to see or explore. Whether that is a new species of fish, stream improvements, new lodges or buildings and renovations to existing lodges. I love how the staff makes life so easy and comfortable for the members. I am proud to say I belong to the club and enjoy bringing up friends and family to see their reactions to this relaxed refuge from the city.

We have celebrated all four seasons there including birthdays, engagement announcements and even Thanksgiving. It is a fantastic escape for our family to just take a quick break from the hectic schedules of work, sports practices, etc. and in 55 min be fishing, cooking out and having great chats around the fireplace back in the lodge. We have also started a family tradition of celebrating our Thanksgiving Holiday at Briarwood. Chris and Kristy along with their staff have really enhanced the experience. We came for the fishing and hunting, but we stay for the great family experience.”
